New Morning by catch---22 New Morning by catch---22
Can't you hear that rooster crowing ?
Rabbit running down across the road
Underneath the bridge where the water flows through
So happy just to see you smile
Underneath the sky of blue
On this new morning, new morning
On this new morning with you.

Can't you hear that motor turning
Automobile coming into style
Coming down the road for a country mile or two ?
So happy just to see you smile
Underneath the sky of blue
On this new morning, new morning
On this new morning with you...

 how high off the sled did ya get?
Reply
:iconcatch---22:
catch---22 Featured By Owner Dec 10, 2012  Professional Photographer
it wasn't so much the height as the speed. we covered a good 20-30 yds in the air and then hit. when we hit the runners of the sled flattened out sideways and we rolled down the hill.

after discovering we weren't dead, we couldn't stop laughing.

Ah! I would love to cruise down this road in a pickup truck, windows down, on a gorgeous Autumn day. Man, that is cool. :)

Great capture, Dennis; thanks for sharing.

Where is this, if I may ask?

a great hill, I'm surprised I never killed myself driving or sledding down. it's where I grew and my parents still live, in far eastern oklahoma.

thank you Stan!

Haha! I bet! ;)

I guess I'm showing my ignorance, but I never thought of Oklahoma as being hilly. I was born, raised and now living in Michigan; never been to Oklahoma. Sledding down that? Whoa. You'd get some crazy speed for sure. :D

You're welcome Dennis!

a little bit of all kinds here... the eastern part of the state tends to be wooded hills and small mountains... the flat starts our west and southwest... the interstates are probably some of the least flattering views on the drive through.

lol, I thought we were gonna die the day we decided to sled it. the sled didn't survive.
