Not that I'm an artist or anything like that, but I see a number of different factors at play in this particular photograph. The contrast of the red clay-like soils in the foreground and the rich green in the background, the barren landscape save for the two trees, the one closest to the viewer seeming to mark the barrier between red and green. The sky paints a different picture, with the blue sky patch visible and seemingly hovering over the red area with the more stormy skies in the background. I'm not sure if this was taken on a farm but the land appears to be worked in some capacity, in any case, its beautiful in a profound way. It is evident that this picture was taken intentionally with this outcome in mind, as in such a vast area of open land many other shots could have been chosen. Well done!
I like your composition with the two trees and the water filled lowspot in between. I see your title is in reference to the rain but I see the foreground tree saying that to the distant tree instead. Funny how people interpret stuff.
Nice shot Dennis, Love the different Layers of colours of the land, It looks like it stretches for miles, and the angle really works, as it draws the eye to the depth of the land... also... The trees are kind of symbolic like all your tree shots normally are as it diverts the eye from one tree to the other tree on the horizon...Really nice....you have positioned them well. And stunning sky too,
