Colorblind by catch---22 Colorblind by catch---22
I am colorblind.
Coffee black and egg white,
Pull me out from inside.

I am ready.
I am ready.
I am ready.
I am...

Taffy stuck, tongue tied
Stuttered shook and uptight,
Pull me out from inside.

I am ready.
I am ready.
I am ready.
I am...fine.

I am covered in skin.
No one gets to come in.
Pull me out from inside.
I am folded, and unfolded, and unfolding.

I am
Colorblind.

Coffee black and egg white
Pull me out from inside.
I am ready.
I am ready.
I am ready.
I am... fine.

If there was a glimpse of blue, all my favorites would be in it too :)

Are you? (I had a 5-year off/on bf in the 60s-70s who was.) I wonder what these colors look like to you, as to what they look like to me. I often wonder if any color looks the exact same to one person or another, considering so much goes into the perception of color besides just the eye to brain. This scene is beautiful, peaceful, introspective, and waiting to awaken to warmer suns in a few months.

My favorite colors of nature are more vibrant greens, blues, and multiples of spring, as well as the reds, rusts, yellows, and oranges of fall ... because my real life is so drab, as is where I live, how I dress, and look... Thus I migrate towards a flashier scene... And yet, the monotones of winter can be so pretty to me. I suppose it's whatever mood or need I am in at the time. Early morning makes everything even more alluring and magical.

I agree with pyrrhite. That rock would be a perfect place to sit to watch the dogs swim.

And this song is so beautiful!

"where ever you go, there you are"

That's been one of my all-time favorite sayings, and most represents how I feel about myself, and how everyone should feel about themselves. For many reasons. One being, you can't run away from your problems, especially the inner ones -- they go with you everywhere. Next, you can't run away from your feelings -- they also go with you everywhere. The most important, however, is you should always be yourself everywhere and at any time; getting to know your true self as you go along, changing and fine-tuning if necessary. To lie to others is bad, but to lie to yourself, is a death, because you will never be what you were meant to be, you will never know that best friend within, nor any real internal peace. Irritatingly, you will have to watch everything you say and do so that you won't be found out as something other than what you are. And I would guess you would feel so lost and unloved for the rest of your insincere, unreal life.

I may be an egotist, but I'd rather be me at all times, good or bad, humiliated or praised, than anyone else, past, present, or I assume, future.

corncob pipe and all...

what I liked about the rock was, it's a bird's place. I can see it perched on the smaller rock surveying his domain feeling all dinosaur and such.
