I am honestly at a loss for words with this picture. Truly amazing. To start, the sky is absolutely incredible. The fact that you can still see the blue hues in the sky above the clouds give it more depth and variety. I especially love how if you look right at the sun, the rays pop right out and light up everything around them, close and far. The cornstalks blend in very nicely and give the picture a rustic and homey feel. Unfortunately, sunset pictures are quite common but on the upside, they never get boring. This is as close to perfect as a picture can get, in all honesty. Stunning job!
As you know, I watch all of your work and find a lot of it to be among my favorites. So, it's no surprise that I really like this one, too.
Something striking about this photo at first glance aside from the normal things I would notice (like color, clarity, ect.), is the concept with the depth of the view. As a viewer, I feel like I'm in this photo, the sun looks so far away, yet I can almost touch it. It is hard to describe, but I think you framed this photo in a way that leads viewers to an almost epic sight.
The technique is great, and the photo, itself, is oh so clear. I especially like the detail and warmth you gave the clouds and the way you captured the detail of the sun's rays without overly saturating it and letting it take complete control of the background. It's a very well-rounded shot.
The only thing I might contribute to an improvement is that a light but deeper vignette around this photo would be nice, in my opinion. It would center the view a little better and add another shape of interest to it; giving some balance to the circle that the sun's rays already create. Other than that, though, I don't think this photo could be done much better, honestly.
