A River Runs Through It. by catch---22 A River Runs Through It. by catch---22
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops.

― Norman Maclean, A River Runs Through It and Other Stories

this is somewhere off the trail to Blue Lakes in the Mnt Sneffels Wilderness area.

Reminded me that I should go home for a visit, for a couple of days, to enjoy the silence a bit...

That's Nature in all his vibrancy. A lovely photo, Catch,

It reminds me of when I was fly fishing in Michigan and had sat on the bank and a beaver came up, saw me, rounded up his family and took them downstream, then came back and showed off and flirted with my foot,( my boot to be exact)! I think I held my breath for 20 mintes!!!!!

thank you very much Twiggy.

lol, those moments are beyond priceless. you know it's good when you forget to breathe.

I was out casting a fly one morning where a creek comes into a lake. One of those perfect morning, I'm all chilled out. mr beaver had come and sat on the opposite bank. he watched me for a while and about the time another person came around a bend mr beaver left. I was out in the middle of the creek on a spit of gravel. the other person told me the beaver came out of the water right behind me and stood watching me for about 3-4 minutes. at some point I felt him(never heard him at all)and turned to look. Right as I looked he smacked the water with his tail. it sounded like a shotgun going off.

I jumped and fell backwards into the creek. As I realized I wasn't dead and picked myself up out of the water(which was really freakin' cold) I notice the other peep in hysterics down river. he couldn't stop laughing.
